Tourist Offices - Preko, Ugljan, Kali and Kukljica,
with the support of municipal administrations, entered the project Pointers of
Osijek IT company Apria.
This is a tourist project designed to create a
personalized digital application for the island of Ugljan, free of charge,
which is a sort of guide and provides information about beaches, events,
gastronomic offer, entertainment, nightlife, bicycle routes, free WI Fi points,
nautical information, information about cultural and natural heritage.
The application will be enriched with photos,
video, VR360 recordings, and what's important is a marketing destination on
seven Pointers platforms (Android, iOS, WEB, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
YouTube). The application will include a textual description of all commercial
content in Croatian, English, German and Italian, top-level photo and video
processing, including aeral shots made with drones, GPS navigation to every
single content, adding a tourist community profile to Google My Business
including location tagging on Google Maps.
It is important to say that the photos taken in
these days will be constantly updated so that our creative team of Pointers
will visit our island in the heart of the season when the beaches will be full
and the offer of local commercial content will be higher. The application will start on June 15, all pages of
the island's tourist community will be networked and the data will be updated
every 24 hours. We believe that many will get a completely different picture of
Ugljan when they see the footage of the air, especially the track of the big
Adventure Island project, which will surely, thanks to Pointers, get additional
promotion.
Recording and editing VR360* video recordings in all attractive locations will allow users to interactively, from any angle, capture the recorded location. And that's exactly what will happen on June 1, when the shooting began, and when a drone crossed the whole island, from Kukljica to Ugljan.
The Pointers aplication started before the last tourist season, on the islands of Krk, Pag, Hvar, the entire Split-Trogir-Omiš Riviera, and new locations and informations are constantly being added.
